I'll be performing an excerpt from my solo show on the Tell It On Tuesday performance series at the Marsh in Berkeley. I'm sharing the bill with 2 other performers who are excellent! From the romantic streets and canals of Venice, comes the exquisite and captivating story of NINE The Ultimate Musical. Set amidst the glamour of the 1960s, this dark, glittering musical centers on the efforts of the celebrated Italian film director Guido Contini who is suffering debilitating writer’s block, while facing a marriage breakdown in the middle of having a mid-life crisis. At the age of 50, Guido must call on the nine closest and most powerful women in his life to put him back on the road to success and happiness and rescue his creative and private lives from the brink of destruction.

In the small town of Chesterham, England, the young and charming Edwin Drood has been mysteriously murdered. But by whom? His leering romantic rival, John Jasper? The infamous purveyor of opium and vice, Princess Puffer? The mysterious Landless twins, newly arrived from Ceylon? Or someone else even more dastardly and villainous? Dickens passed away before he was able to reveal the culprit.
Rupert Holmes’ award-winning musical takes audience participation to new heights and solves this predicament by asking the audience to choose which character is the killer by putting it to a vote. It is a hilarious, interactive whodunit mystery musical that allows the audience to enter the action and become the ultimate detectives.
